To strengthen our team in Sweden, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced ECM IV Workshop Manager & Technical Support (m/f/d) who will be responsible for operational workshop management, work planning, technical support, and accompanying quality assurance at our locations in Hallsberg and Borlänge.
In this role, you will ensure the efficient,timely, and regulatory-compliant execution of all locomotive maintenance activities and serve as the central point of contact between the workshop, engineering, materials management, the ECM organization, and external partners.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You ensure compliance with all ECM IV requirements in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/779, as well as relevant safety, quality, and occupational regulations
You coordinate workshop capacities, resources, and processes to ensure all maintenance activities are carried out on schedule
You manage work plans, maintenance processes, and technical documentation
You provide technical support to the workshop with fault analyses and complex technical issues.
You coordinate with OEMs, external service providers, and internal departments to ensure efficient maintenance processes
You ensure material availability in close cooperation with purchasing, warehouse, and scheduling, and support make-or-buy decisions
You take responsibility for accompanying quality assurance by monitoring defined quality standards and supporting deviation analyses and corrective actions
You participate in audits, ECM certifications, process reviews, and help ensure audit-proof documentation
You actively drive the continuous optimization of workshop, maintenance, and quality processes to increase efficiency, availability, and operational safety
YOUR PROFILE
• You have successfully completed a technical degree, ideally in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, railway engineering, or a comparable field; an additional qualification as a technician or master craftsman is an advantage
• You have several years of professional experience in heavy maintenance, ideally of railway vehicles
• You have in-depth knowledge of ECM requirements in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/779
• You have experience in work preparation, workshop control, and technical maintenance processes
• You have solid knowledge of maintenance strategies (preventive / corrective)
• You demonstrate a strong awareness of quality, safety, and responsibility
• You work in a structured, solution-oriented, and independent manner, while also showing assertiveness and clear, confident communication
• You have very good English skills; additional European language skills are an advantage
