Product Engineer (m/f/d)
YOUR TASKS
• You are responsible for your assigned fleet and develop the long-term strategy for your locomotives, ensuring performance in safety, compliance, reliability, availability, marketability, and value
• You may take ownership of ECM2 (the ECM quality assurance framework)
• You plan, budget, and organize Heavy Maintenance to optimize costs and efficiency.
• You plan, budget, and initiate projects that maintain and enhance fleet value over time
• You act as Sponsor for Revision and Upgrade projects managed by Project Managers on your fleet
• You hold regular engineering reviews with ECM2 to monitor quality, track action plans, manage reliability issues, and handle obsolescence (new for AMS)
• You manage the acquisition strategy and ensure accuracy for acquisition projects once contracts are signed
• You lead strategic asset reviews with Sales, Head of Leasing, and Asset Management to define and follow up on key priorities
• You provide guidance and technical support to colleagues, clients, and ECM teams to help analyze maintenance documentation and review technical maintenance history and decisions
• You take full ownership of cost management for Heavy Maintenance, aligning with Operations and the business controller for OPEX management
• You ensure all technical and maintenance data (homologation, configuration, history, forecasting) for your fleet is complete, up-to-date, and accessible — for example, sharing maintenance plans with KAM
YOUR PROFILE
• You have experience in the railway or transportation industry
• You are committed to safety and regulatory compliance
• You have a strong understanding of ECM and Life Cycle Cost Management
• You are skilled in budgeting, cost monitoring, and planning
• You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
