YOUR TASKS

• You manage the Product Engineering team in the DACHNL region and develop the strategic roadmap for your locomotive portfolio

• You define the scope of projects for your assigned fleet and may also act as Product Engineer yourself

• You ensure the overall performance of the DACHNL fleet — with a focus on safety, compliance, reliability, availability, marketability, and long-term value

• You lead your team to align the DACHNL strategy with Akiem’s overall product strategy

• You drive initiatives to improve engineering standards and processes

• You initiate and may lead strategic projects for the DACHNL portfolio

• You ensure consistency across the DACHNL fleet and alignment with the AMS organization

• You maintain a close relationship with the DACHNL AMS Engineering management team, regularly reviewing performance, tracking action plans, addressing reliability issues, and managing obsolescenc

• You oversee cost control, budgeting, project execution, and heavy maintenance planning

• You provide leadership, guidance, and support to your team

• You ensure strategic product reviews are carried out effectively

• You collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and support functions to ensure alignment

• You support the implementation of Product Integration in the DACHNL region

• You bring solid experience in the railway or transportation industry

• You are strongly committed to safety and regulatory compliance

• You have a good understanding of budgeting and cost control

• You possess deep knowledge of ECM and Life Cycle Cost Management

• You combine leadership with strong interpersonal skills
