Product & Configuration Engineer m/f/d

Your Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Head of ECM 2, you will be responsible for:
- Developing, maintaining, and updating maintenance programs.
- Creating and managing initial maintenance files and ensuring ongoing updates.
- Supporting locomotive acceptance and handovers, including documentation checks for ECM transfers.
- Overseeing configuration management of locomotives (components, country approvals, software versions).
- Releasing and monitoring maintenance plans based on technical documentation.
- Creating and maintaining maintenance schedules in the CMMS (computerized system).
- Coordinating with Sales and ECM 3 regarding locomotive operational use.
- Preparing locomotives in the computerized system for ECM 3.
- Ensuring compliance with maintenance standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Monitoring the implementation of maintenance programs.
- Managing and recording safety-critical components.
- Participating in internal and external audits.
Your Profile
Education & Expertise
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical training (technical draftsman, product design, technical model maker, state-certified technician, or industrial master craftsman).
- Strong knowledge of rail vehicle maintenance, vehicle management, and industry regulations (safety/quality management).
- Experience in the rail sector with a rail vehicle manufacturer, operator, or maintenance company.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Experience in designing locomotive maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with EU regulations, particularly DVO (EU) 2019/779.
- Knowledge of process organization, optimization, and approval laws.
Work Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the maintenance of traction units.
- Experience in vehicle management with manufacturers or railway undertakings (RUs).
